Code Injection is only available on Squarespace’s higher-tier plans — currently Business and above. If the Code Injection panel is missing from Settings → Advanced, that is why, and no third-party chat widget will be installable until the plan changes. Worth confirming before you spend time building the assistant.

Squarespace questions
Which Squarespace plan do I need?
Code Injection is a feature of Squarespace’s higher plans — on current pricing it starts at the Business plan. That is Squarespace’s restriction, not ours. If you are on a plan without Code Injection you will not be able to add any third-party widget, including this one.
Header or Footer?
Footer. The tag belongs at the end of the body so the browser paints your page before it fetches the widget. Putting it in the header will still work, but it makes your site marginally slower for no benefit.
Will it appear on every page?
Yes — site-wide Code Injection applies to every page Squarespace renders. If you want it on one page only, use that page’s own advanced settings for page-level code injection instead.
Does it clash with Squarespace’s own forms or pop-ups?
The widget mounts its own container and does not modify your page. The one thing worth checking is visual collision: if you run a Squarespace promotional pop-up or announcement bar in the same corner, move the launcher to the other side in bot settings.
Can it read my PDFs?
Yes. Upload price lists, terms or brochures directly and they are parsed and indexed alongside your pages — including text inside image-heavy pages, which is pulled out rather than skipped.
How do I take it off again?
Delete the line from Code Injection and save. There is nothing installed on your site, so there is nothing left behind.
